Ready, Steady, Go!

Attach your skins, step into your bindings, and off you go toward summit bliss.

On the red ski touring route in Werfenweng, you will conquer about 860 meters of elevation gain. Starting behind the Barbarahof, the trail leads along a varied ascent over the Zaglauberg up to the summit at 1,834 m. There, you’ll be rewarded with a 360° mountain panorama, a well-deserved cool refreshment at the Alpengasthof Bischlinghöhe, and a perfectly groomed panorama run back down to the valley.

Please strictly follow the signage and the groomed route!

The Ski Touring Ticket

The Ski Touring Ticket

Please note that the ascent route is chargeable and may only be used with the purchase of a ski touring ticket (available at the ticket offices or online ticket shop) or a valid ski pass!

With the day ticket for ski tourers €12.00, you can enjoy the groomed ascent route as well as the perfectly prepared panorama descent back to the valley. Frequent tourers benefit from the season ski touring pass at a top price of €130.00.

TIP: If you already have a regular ski pass or season ticket (Dachstein West, SuperSkiCard, or paragliding season pass), this also counts as your valid ski touring ticket!

Ski Touring Rules

1. Our ski slopes are strictly closed to ski tourers during day and night! The ascent is only allowed on the specially designated and signed ski touring route with a ski touring ticket.

2. Purchasing a ski touring ticket entitles you to use the designated and signed ski touring ascent route. This also grants access to the lift parking lot, open infrastructure facilities, and use of slope 1 for descent during operating hours.

3. The ascent route may only be used during the designated slope opening hours.

4. Using the ascent route is at your own risk. Except for avalanche safety measures, no liability is accepted for the condition or safety of the route. Any liability due to use of the route is excluded.

5. No supervision or monitoring of the route is provided. Every tourer must decide for themselves if snow and weather conditions, route status, and their own experience and skills allow a safe ascent.

6. Entering and skiing on closed slopes and ski touring routes is strictly prohibited.

7. Warning signs and local regulations must be observed.

8. Slopes may only be crossed at marked points, keeping sufficient distance from each other and considering skiers.

9. Dogs are not allowed on slopes or ski touring routes.

10. Use designated parking areas for tourers.
